Thirst! That was the first thing Tessa was aware of. She was so thirsty. But it wasn’t a thirst for water. At first she didn’t know what she wanted, then she smelled it; that sweet, coppery scent of blood. Before, the smell of it turned her stomach. I just finished reading Caught by Harlan Corben.  Wow!  I LOVED this book. It starts out with a man, Dan Mercer, being "caught" as a pedophile and collector of child pornography by TV investigative reporter, Wendy Tynes.  No lower form of humanity exists on the planet, right (the pedophile, I mean)?  But...is he really guilty? Corben manages to keep you guessing throughout the entire book.  First you believe that Mercer is guilty, then you're positive he's not.  Then maybe he did do it, then you think maybe he didn't.  It isn't until the very end that you find out the truth of what really happened. We're glad to have you as a member and look forward to seeing your contributions!

We also hold a lot of contests with great prizes, so keep your eye out for them!

We are currently holding a contest for prose and poetry with lots of prizes to win, including hundreds of Points, art, literature, and many features. The theme is “Confessions of a King” and the full details are in the group blog. We would love to read your work if you are interested!

We also have a Critique Program for our members to submit to and receive detailed feedback on their work from our admin team.

We’re also helping to promote a program called Synergy, which is hosted by our affiliate, #Live-Love-Write. The Synergy program is designed to provide participants with somebody they can count on for help and readership. Participants are assigned in pairs and each member will tutor, inspire, critique, and help each other. Pairs will also be given a monthly challenge to collaborate together on; we keep the assignments manageable so they can be fun all the time. Signups will open back up in the beginning of October.
